School councils play and important role at Ysgol Deganwy and offer the children a good experience of citizenship training and an opportunity to have a say in the decisions that affect them in their daily school life. We have two main councils at Ysgol Deganwy:
The School Council
The Eco Council
We also have two children appointed as
Safety Officers
Each class elects two members to represent them on each of the councils. The council representatives will take ideas and suggestions from their classmates to council meetings and report back any council decisions and recommendations.
Each council will have an appointed staff member present at meetings to offer advice and guidance.
